Major Initiatives

From Roads for Families to Congestion Management/Livability Planning, the Broward MPO’s major functions play a critical role in ensuring the residents of Broward can get where they are going quickly and safely. The MPO’s Roads for Economic Vitality (REV) is a unique program that allows municipalities to apply for funding for smaller-scale projects, and helps “complete” the MPO’s Roads for Families efforts. Performance Measures are tracking the MPO’s progress toward attaining specific goals and objectives. Speak Up Broward has engaged residents on the need for additional transportation improvements and how to pay for them. Working together, these functions are transforming the way people move around Broward and the South Florida region.
